One small step . . .

It wasn't the moon landing.

It wasn't the discovery of fire.

It wasn't the invention of the wheel.

But for a first time Dad, it was pretty exciting.

Caroline held her bottle by herself for the very first time tonight.

She held the bottle for about 5 seconds before it tumbled out of her hands.

We weren't fast enough to capture the moment on camera, but here's the post-game celebration:

Oh, how I yearn for the time when our babies are holding their own bottles. We're not there yet, but soon will be. Friends of ours have 2 year old twin girls, and dad still talks about that moment as the greatest thing yet. Congrats on the milestone.

Congrats! It sure feels like the moon landing, doesn't it?

Wait until they can put Cheerios in their own mouths. You will want to throw a party.

Well, David. I'll have to take your word for it since you didn't get it on film :) J/K I have no doubt your girls are capable of this and much more! I'm wondering if you'll be as excited when they start crawling and running all over the place ;) Hope all is going well!
